Showing, is something that many BMHS members enjoy and take part in regularly ‘flying the Morgan flag’ at local and National level. Not only do they enjoy the excitement of the competition (against Morgans and other breeds) but they also use the opportunity to showcase their horses to a wider audience. For some of us however, either because of practical problems, like transport, or getting sufficient time off work to enable us to pack up and head off to a show for a couple of days, showing is not at the top of their list of preferred ‘horsey’ activities.

While many of us enjoy taking part, there are others who choose to do other things with their Morgans. The Society, in an attempt to embrace all aspects of Morgan ownership and to facilitate members having a sense of belonging to something worthwhile, are inviting people to become Regional Coordinators in order that they may identify the interests of members in their Region.  It is hoped that each Region will have two coordinators who will make contact with owners in their region and find out what activities they enjoy, what their interests are and to see if events can be organised in accordance with these. It could be anything from clinics, to pleasure rides, to educational events, or simply social gatherings where Morgan folk can meet together without the stress and pressures of a competition and simply chat.

Non BMHS members and people who do not own a Morgan, but love the breed, are MORE than welcome to contact me, thats what Im here for - to help, advise and to promote the Morgan within the UK and Europe. I will be happy to post things on our website for this region, so please do Email or call me with any input you may have or if you are just looking for information!

18th March.
Just to let every one know that Sandy Johnson will be in the UK in May thru til the beginning of June.
Sandy has very kindly said that she is willing to give a clinic to anyone who is interested in learning. I am willing to hold a clinic here and I wanted to get feedback from members/non members who would be willing to come down and take part before we ask her to definitely give us her 'holiday' time. We do have some stabling available and obviously refreshments and food will be made available, I cannot promise it will be edible, but the local pub is down the hill if all else fails!!!!!
Sandy is an expert in her field. She is an R registered Judge under USEF rulings and has probably forgotten things that most of us strive to learn. She has judged for the BMHS at Champ Show and it will be fabulous to have her back on her home soil sharing her knowledge with us. Please let me know if you would be interested in a road trip down. Everyone is welcome from novice to advanced whatever discipline, Sandy caters for all!! We would like to take advantage of Sandys stay, so the day would not just be of riding, but a chance for people to discuss showing, breeding?? Let me know your ideas please.
